Welcome to Connection is Key Pediatric Speech Therapy
Child-Led, Play-Based Speech Therapy
At Connection is Key Pediatric Speech Therapy, we provide pediatric speech therapy for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children — adapting therapy to the child, not the other way around.
We prioritize connection over compliance, ensuring your child feels safe and valued while strengthening their communication skills. Our child-led, play-based approach to speech therapy centers joy, authenticity, and belonging while empowering caregivers to be confident and active partners in the process.
Every child deserves a voice that feels true to them and a space where they feel understood and celebrated - that’s what we create at Connection is Key.

Language Therapy
Language therapy helps children develop their understanding and use of language, and it is tailored to your child’s age and needs. For infants through school-aged children, it may include helping your child:
Build early communication skills using gestures and signs, vocal play, turn-taking, social games, and learning first words
Grow and expand vocabulary and build sentences by learning new words, combining words into phrases, and using longer, more complex sentences
Use words for a variety of purposes like asking for what they need, requesting help, describing things, asking and answering questions, seeking clarification, expressing opinions, advocating for themselves, and sharing ideas, stories, and experiences
Strengthen their understanding of directions, questions, conversations, and stories
Language therapy aims to increase communication skills, independence, and confidence at home, in school, and beyond!

Feel seen, supported, and accepted in how they communicate
Move through the stages of natural language development
Develop their own flexible, spontaneous language
Together, we will support your child's ability to use language to connect, express themselves, and be understood in ways that are meaningful to them.

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
AAC therapy accepts and honors all forms and methods of communication while helping children who have difficulty speaking or being understood find additional and effective ways to communicate, like using gestures, picture boards, typing, writing, or speech-generating devices. During our sessions, we will:
Help your child learn to use the AAC methods that best fit their needs
Build your child’s understanding and use of language through AAC
Train caregivers on how to use AAC and support their child’s language skills
Together we will find the right communication tools for your child and teach them how to use those tools to express themselves, connect with others, and make their voice heard.

Communicate more effectively across different environments
Speech therapy will help your child be better understood and feel more successful in everyday communication.
Welcome – I'm Meghan!
Meet Your Speech Therapist
I’m Meghan Fahy, M.S., CCC-SLP, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and the founder/owner of Connection is Key Pediatric Speech Therapy.
I have 7 years of experience working with children in a public school setting and pediatric clinic, supporting a wide range of speech and language needs. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all abilities, and I specialize in supporting autistic children, children with developmental disabilities, AAC users, gestalt language processors, children with language delays/disorders, and those with speech sound disorders, including articulation and phonological disorders as well as motor speech difficulties.
I started Connection is Key because I wanted to create a space where compassionate, individualized therapy and caregiver collaboration come together to support meaningful, lasting progress. My goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and truly seen throughout the therapy journey.
My approach is play-based, sensory-friendly, and deeply child-led— built on connection, not compliance. I believe therapy works best when it feels natural, joyful, and motivating for each child.
I’m dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, knowing that every child’s journey is unique. With encouragement, expertise, and personalized support, I celebrate every milestone— big or small— and work alongside you to help your child discover and use their voice in a way that feels authentic to them.
